1. COMSEC Equipment
Buffers – Products in this category are used to
interface legacy voice and data encryption devices such
as KY-57, KY-58, KY-99 and KY-100 to radio and
satellite transmission facilities. These products
employ buffer technology developed by TELEGRID for local
and remote connections. This category includes the
KY-57 single, dual and triple buffers (P/N KYB-701,
KYB-702 and KYB-703 respectively). It also includes the
SRA-105 and SRA-851 satellite remote adapters.
TELEGRID-developed and produced Voice Orderwire Control
Device is deployed world-wide in all DoD STEP
(Strategic/ Tactical Entry Point) and Teleport sites.
2. Resource Management
Tools – Products in this category, also known as
Remote SNMP Proxies, allow remote monitoring and control
of communication resources over LANs using Simple
Network Management Protocol (SNMP) as part of an overall
Network Management System (NMS). All products include a
hardware agent, a MIB and device manager software.
Examples include the KIV-19 SNMP managers (P/N RSP-100,
RSP-104 and RSP-116) and the KIV-7 SNMP managers (P/N
RSP-714 and RSP-716).
3. Wireless Ad Hoc
Networks –
This category includes
products which form the TELEGRID WZRDnetTM
Wireless Ad-Hoc Network. This system is based on low
power networks including IEEE 802.15.4 standard
(commercially known as ZigBeeR), 6LoWPAN, etc. and is
used to communicate voice and text messages, sensor
data, and GPS position location information in the field
without the need for cellular towers. Components of the
network include the WZRD Handheld Terminal, a family of
WZRD Sensor Units, the WZRD Relay Terminal and the WZRD
Actuator.
4. Special Purpose
Devices – Products in this category are custom
products developed to satisfy specific customer
requirements. They range from the SP-BSN-01 cable surge
protector to the JBX-789 airborne headphone intercom
system. TELEGRID’s capabilities include:
- Requirements analysis (including reverse
engineering)
- System design
- Hardware and embedded software design
- Printed circuit boards (PCBs) design and layout
- Embedded software (DSP, FPGA) development and
coding
- Prototype production, test and evaluation
- Equipment manufacture
- System integration
- Logistic and depot support (maintenance and spare
parts).
In addition to product
development and production, TELEGRID’s experience-base
includes providing system engineering and technical
support to major US Army and Joint planning and
acquisition programs. Organizations supported by
TELEGRID included the Joint TRI-TAC organization and the
US Army’s JTACS, MSCS and WIN-T organizations. TELEGRID
provided support generating technical specifications and
other procurement documents and
in participating in source selection and evaluation
boards.
