TeleTag Active RFID Tag

Overview

The TeleTag is an ultra-thin and light-weight active RFID tracking device designed for noninvasive functions. It can be attached easily to assets or be used in addition to or instead of employee ID badges for personnel tracking. The TeleTag contains a built-in motion detector, temperature sensor, push button alert and an alert LED which can be programmed according to user needs. For instance the tag’s push button alert can be used as an alarm for individuals (e.g. patient monitoring) or the LED can be used as a notification when the battery is low.

The built-in motion detector adds an extra layer to your building’s security system by notifying you when an object or person has moved. The method of conveying motion involves increasing the frequency of messages sent from the TeleTag to the Access Point. This conserves battery power and reduces network traffic when the TeleTag is stationary. The time between transmissions during motion detection and when stationary can be programmed by the system administrator.
